Acupuncture tonight *UPDATE*
Anyone ever have this before? I'm not sure what to expect

I go a lot. . for me the person is a fertility specialist so she asks me questions about my cycle, then puts a bunch of needles in, mostly you just feel pressure, every now and then I feel a pinch or twinge but then she adjusts it and it's fine. Then she leaves the room and I just sit there for about 20-30 minutes. It's pretty relaxing after the needles go in and I have a fear of needles. .

I don't know if I went to a bad place or what but I did not enjoy it. I actually found it kind of painful and I did not relax at all. I thought the "doctor" was kind of an ass too. I had no feeling in my feet for most of it and any time I moved (moved my arm, took a deep breath, etc.) I got stabbing pains running down my arms and legs. I don't know if it was this guy or I just am not meant for it.
Now today I have a headache

I would try again. this is def not my experience. . if you don't like your dr, def find someone else, they should make sure you are comfortable. . and you can def tell them if things don't feel right! sorry you had a bad experience

Acupuncture tonight *UPDATE*
im sure the headache is unrelated, but i went to acu a lot and never ever felt bad. sometimes it hurts when they put the needle in, but only for a second. if it hurts any longer than that you should tell them to move the needle. sometimes i had my acu replace the needle a few times before it stopped hurting. they are used to it. you absolutely should not feel pain at all during it.

i went once, i felt very dazed ad spacey when i got out and i did not find it relaxing at all. it actually stressed me out to be in the room alone with needles coming out of my body. definitely not for me!

I did not like acu at my first appointment. I didn't find it enjoyable and I wasn't comfortable with the acupuncturist. I didn't find it painful but just not at all what I was expecting to get out of it. In fact, the guy gave me the creeps.
After that appt I posted on here and got recs for a different acupuncturist and I've been going to him for about a year and a half now!! He's wonderful  I go to Andy Kaplan in RVC. FM me if you would like his info!!
