Wow. I was just planning on throwing my camera, 1 baby outfit, some underwear, loose fitting pants, and two tanks in a bag.
It really depends on if you are anticipating a c section or not. I am so I know I'll be there for 4 days at least. But you still want some toiletries to make you feel human if you are only going to be there one day.

(I'm not trying to sound snarky - I just hateeeee packing and enjoy traveling as light as possible! )

I was only in a hospital once and they gave out a little kit with some stuff in it. I think it wasn't until the second day I was there though. I'm sure you can ask a nurse for stuff if they do offer it. I hate asking for stuff then having to wait if i just want to take a shower. I just figure it's easier to bring my own since I'll be there for a few days. And it's small travel size stuff. I already need clothes and stuff so a small bag of travel stuff wasn't a big deal for me. I hate packing and lugging stuff I won't need too so this is ultra minimal for me. Some people bring their own pillows and towels which seems like way too much for me to pack.
