34 follicles!!!
i started stims on friday, 2 gonal F and 1 menopur. went for blood and sono check today and had 34+ follicles!!!
IVF grads.. is this a normal number?! the doc said i have the potential to develop OHSS.. im so bummed out about that!! as of now, the meds are staying the same until the recheck on wednesday.
no wonder i have been sooooo crampy!!!!

Everyone stims differently. For my first IVF I had 30 follies, for the next I had 50+

34 follicles!!!
for my fresh I had over 40 follicles when monitoring...I had 35 eggs retrieved but only 20 were mature...I did not develop OHSS but they did give me dostinex to help and I had to monitor my fluids...

Wow, that's great! I went today and had 14 on the right and 8 on the left. They all measure 9, 8 or less than 8 (didn't measure). Nurse said everyone is different - some people have more some have less at this stage. Good luck... for no OHSS!

You're responding well to stims for sure!!! I totally agree w/Lolablue... drink Gatrade, feet up when you're not moving around!

 34 follies in 4 days? Or do you mean you started a week ago Friday?
34 is a great number but agree on being careful about OHSS. Are you triggering now?

34 follicles is a great number....not all follicles yeild a mature egg so you should be more than AOK :) great response to the meds...im shocked they didnt lower your dosage considering 34 in 4 days is A LOT...unless of course, they are counting all the ones <10mm....my office only counts >10mm ... either way thats a great number...
I had OHSS with all 3 IVF cycles....dont eat anything salty...measure your intake/output of water, dont drink too much either, and REST and KEEP YOUR FEET UP...no lifting, nothing :) your a princess...ask for dostinex and the measuring cup :)

I can tell you from experience OHSS gets worse when you get pregnant (1st and 3rd IVF)...Im 17 weeks and my ovaries are still enlarged the size of lemons....

thanks Julie! 34 was the total number of follicles, including those less than 10.
as of yesterday i had 27 measuring from 10-13 range. i go back tomorrow am for a recheck!
ive been taking it easy, just light house cleaning laundry etc. when you say dont drink too much are you talking about water?? i was told to drink a lot of water! ill update tomorrow when i get back from the doc!

I had 36 MATURE eggs retrieved from mine and did not have OHSS although I did feel like POOP and was sure that I had OHSS. My stomach bloated to the size that I looked when I was 5-6 months pregnant with my 1st.

I had 20 during IVF and developed mild OHSS. It wasn't bad enough to cancel the transfer and I ended up with 2 babies from that cycle. DD is 3 and DS is 5 months (FET).
