NYC moms (btdt) - how did you get DC home from hospital?
Do they let you take the baby home in a cab with no car seat?
I'm trying to figure out how to get home from the hospital!

Unfortunately they will not let you take the baby home without a car seat especially if you're planning on getting in a vehicle. If you can I would see if a friend would lend you an infant car seat if you're not planning on using a car seat nor have a car.

I think my IL's are going to drive us home from the hospital. Alternatively, you can call a car service. I've heard they have some that typically do this, and even have bases installed in the cars.

We have a car, but if we didn't my parents would drive us home.
I would never take a newborn in a car without a carseat properly installed (ie: a cab).

We drove but we needed an infant car seat. Unless you can walk home from the hospital you need to have one.
