Anyone use the seat savers?
that go under the car seat? Are they worth it?

I just use a folded up towel. IMHO you definitely should put something underneath to save your seats

The one's I see are 2 stage - it has just the bottom for the infant seat when it's rear facing and then you add the top when you put the car seat in that's faces front.

We had a local police dept install ours the first time, and they said that those seat savers weren't a good idea for safety reasons.

We use the bottom half of it under the infant seat base. It's definitely worth it. Once we move to the larger car seat, we'll use both pieces.

I heard the same thing and for that reason I took it off of my registry and didn't purchase one.

I use it since my car is a lease and I don't want the car seat to damages the seat. But, now I am rethinking it because of the saftey statement. The seat base doesn't slide at all. I wonder if a towel would just do the trick and not cause possible saftey issues.

Same here. Most of my gf's have them as well. I have the one posted above by Prince Lionheart.

Thanks! I was hestitant due to the warnings, but I have 2 leased cars. I guess I'll give them a try. I'm sure the police dept will tell me if they don't approve when I have the infant seat installed
