can anyone please educate me on this? what are the requirements and procedure? how do you get approved? based on credit? TIA

Ack, I've heard that home loans are really tough nowdays because of the past few years. We got 1 though Chase but that was 7 years ago and it wasn't difficult. I would call and ask directly and shop around for the best rate. It might be easier to get a line of credit (TFCU offers them) vs. an equity loan.

best place to get an HE loan is TD Bank, they have the best rates and terms.
Yes, it's based on credit and the amount of equity left in your home.
