kinda silly sperm question

I know sperm can live for a few days inside of you. Now my question is if i bd tonight and ovulate in a few days will the sperm still be healthy sperm since they have been in there for a few days.
Sorry i hope everyine understood the question i dont really know how to word it.

yes, the sperm will still be healthy, if you mean are you more likely to get deformities etc, the chances are the ones that aren't healthy will die off anyway, you def do not have as much chance of getting pregnant but it is possible of course!

if the sperm was healthy from the beginning it will be fine. if there are sperm problems from the beginning, chances are that they wont survive a few days anyway.
but i would BD closer to ovulation because there is no guarantee the sperm will live a few days, its just a possibility. so your chances are def lower if you dont BD closer to O.

sperm can like for up to 36 hours inside of you. however, if i know that i will O on Wednesday, for example, i wouldn't just BD on Sunday and hope it makes it till Wednesday, I would do it every day until like Friday to be on the safe side.

I'd try to BD every other day to cover your bases. Sperm can live fora few days if they are healthy, but they take time to get to the egg and many die while trying to get there, so you want as many live, healthy ones there waiting for your egg as possible.

Also, how do you track ovulation? Many people are a day or 2 off (or more) so I'd stick to the every other day plan.

thanks ladies. Im def going to bd more than 1x. this will my third child. I however did have a mc in January and am very nervous to try again. I think i will o around Monday. So I will stick with the every other night.
