Is there a specific wall paint that's better around a pregnant girl?
We had a partial wall collapse today in the bathroom and we now know how severe the water damage is. We need a total bathroom regutting. I have a contractor coming tomorrow to go over our needs and I am not sure if there is a specific paint I should request. Our house is small, so getting away from the fumes is pretty difficult. Although all the mold is probably worse than anything. I hope we can get this finished before I have the baby.
Any advice?

when we painted the nursery we got this Benjamin Moore paint that had no VOC's I think thats what it was called and we painted with the windows shut and we didnt smell anything. It was a bit more money but totally worth it.

When DH and I went to buy paint for DD's nursery, the cashier wouldn't sell anything but low or no VOC's. Other than a slightly higher price, there's no downside. It's easy to apply (so my DH says  ) and 19 months later, still looks great.

I think Behr's paint is now low VOC.
DH just painted the nursery with it and said it didn't smell
bad.
As an extra precaution, he he used a fan pointing out from
the window.

Ok great! No VOCs! Now I know what to ask for. I figured it would sound weird if I just asked for 'pregnant woman paint'.

We used all behr no voc in out house. It was about $25/gal as opposed to BMs no VOC which is like $50/gal. Eventhough its no VOC, some timts DO have VOCs. I had wanted to help paint, but read that even pregnant woman shouldn't be around it. It's fine after it's dry though.
ETA- All Behr is now no VOC but check the side label to be sure the side of the can says it.

when I went to HomeDepot last fall they said all their paint was now low VOC, it was only 20 a gallon..... the no VOC I think is around 40........

When DH painted the nursery we left the two windows open.. one of which we had a fan in on exhaust.. we had another oscillating fan in there as well to circulate air.. the smell didn't travel past that room & i was home while he primed & painted.

This is what I used.
But the guy in the paint store told me this interesting tidbit (disclaimer: I have no idea if this is actually true)...he said when you're behind a bus, and it lets off one of those nasty clouds of exhaust...that's the same amount of VOCs as 20,000 cans of paint.
