Anyone have "white coat syndrome" regarding BP
Its so annoying! Whenever I get to the doctor, my blood pressure is always high, which makes me nervous and then thats all I think about the rest of the appointment.. then by the end of the appointment, they take it again and its normal! Anyone have any advice on this?

Re: Anyone have "white coat syndrome" regarding BP
i had this while i was being seen by my RE!! every visit they were shocked to see my BP so high and i would ask them to retake it after my appt and it would always drop! Now that i'm seeing my regular OB i havent been told that its high but i did bring it to his attention what happened while i was at the RE.
Maybe try saying some positive words to yourself right before you see the doctor? take deep breaths slowly while you wait to be seen or maybe keep your mind occupied with something else?

not me, but I would focus on your breathing to try to remain "calm" and keep your HR/BP down

I find that I am extremely nervous about something being wrong that when they take the pressure, it is always high. Once I hear the heartbeat I'm ok. I'm not sure if it's the same with you, but if so, maybe they can do the exam and hear heartbeat then take the pressure last? Try and stay relaxed.

i had the same thing happen to me in the beginning. after i had my sono and saw that the baby was ok, they would retake my bp and it would be lower

Yes all the role and my bp is usually normal. The worst thing is I work on a hospital so you would think I would be ok. It was all the time synthesis RE. Have them do it at the end .
