Could this be a sign of a problem?

I'm officially the latest I've ever been in my entire life.

I was due for AF on Sunday. I've taken 2 HPTs and both were negative....I'm starting to get worried that this is an underlying issue. AF has increasingly been later and later every month. Before we started TTC I was like CLOCKWORK 28 day cycles. I have been off BC for over 3 years so its not that. I just don't know what's going on.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: I'm on CD 34 now

Some cycles go longer than others. I've had whacked out cycles every once in a while. If you're concerned check it out with your doc

Re: Could this be a sign of a problem?

I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid or if its really a problem. I don't want to sound the alarm just yet and go marching off to my Dr. Especially since, I'm less than a week late right now.

I feel a cramp once and a while and think- ok here we go...but then nothing. Its just so strange.

A week late is still within the 'normal' range. If it continues, it's worth talking to your dr. How many months have you been TTC?

Re: Could this be a sign of a problem?

my cycles were all out of whack when i stopped bcp...
32 days, 35 days, 34 days, 39 days, 37 days....then suddenly i end up with a 28 day cycle and i get my bfp

try not to stress (easier said than done, i know)...stress will also make AF fluctuate - earlier/later

if you are really concerned, then call your dr and see if they want to set up an appt or not

Re: Could this be a sign of a problem?

When we started ttc with my dd i noticed my body changing after bein so regular every 28 days. I was frustrated bc i would get my period late. I think the stress of ttc causes it to change...when we think bout it too much it becomes later n later. It's annoying..wait it n see when she comes n see what happens next month!

Re: Could this be a sign of a problem?

This is my 8th cycle TTC

I was always regular before this. Honestly I stopped doing all the OPKs and temping etc in February because I started getting obsessive. I've just been monitoring EWCM and kinda winging it the last few months but I really haven't stressed out about it.

THIS is making me stress out more than anything. Yea its disappointing that it hasn't happened yet, but I'm more concerned now that there's something wrong.

Have you ever used an OPK to get an idea of when you O?

Yea I was using them in the beginning. It was usually around CD 14 or 15.

Re: Could this be a sign of a problem?

i have the same issue. ever since we really starting TTC, my cycles were all out of wack. last month i was 17 days late. i'm seeing an RE which is helping. i'm not ovulating right. if this becomes a pattern, maybe seeing an RE would help. good luck.

Re: Could this be a sign of a problem?

your body changes every few years...some cycles are longer than others ...stress or any other type of health issue could be contributing to a late AF...also, could it be possible you have a cyst or a fibroid? i experienced spotting and thought i was pregnant was 2 months late with AF went to the dr and i have a fibroid the size of a nickel so maybe go to the dr and get checked out, good luck!

At what point should I call my Dr? How many days should I wait?

this. you might be O'ing later now and not even realize it. i'd temp or go back to using opk's to see. your cycle is probably just changing, not necess a problem.

Re: Could this be a sign of a problem?

I got AF yesterday on CD38...which is pretty much almost 10 days later than it usually is and it came on with such force that I had to leave work yesterday! I was shaking and I almost passed out and I'm bleeding so heavily (sorry TMI). I usually get a havy AF but this is really insane. I'm making an OB appt. I'm not sure if a cyst ruptured or what but something's just not right
