How did you start the process , did you just call them and they handled the rest - contacting the insurance and everything else - or did you have to deal with them AND the insurance to get it done?
Which pump did you get?
How far along do you "have to be" (or were you) to call them and start the whole approval process and how long did it take for them to let you know if you were approved or not?
Anything you can tell me would be appreciated
Thanks

I was unablet o get it through edgepark, i called my insurance company to find out if it is covered. then i went online to find stores that are in network t my insurance company and started making phone calls. from what i hear- most ladies here do not have those difficulties..Edgepark was extremely nice and friendly and really helped me, unfortunately they just dont have a contract with my insurance company and i have a high deductible. Good luck.

I started the process by setting up an account online- filling out the online paperwork.

Then I called and ordered and did everything else on the phone, they took care of it all. I didn't have to deal with insurance or even my doctor (whom i needed for approval). They went to her directly and got it taken care of.

I got the medela freestyle pump.

I did it in my first or second trimester- early.

I just kept calling them to check on the order and they would tell me. I only got covered partially (ended up having to pay only $18 for my pump tho) but so eventually when everything was approved they called me to ask how I wanted to pay the $18 and then they shipped it for free...i think i got it in 2 days flat!

Edgepark is amazing. go for it.

I just called them asked them if I was eligible and they took my ins informaiton asked my due date, OB information and asked me what I was looking for.
They told me that they would call me if there was any cost to me before they shipped but if no cost it would just come in the mail. I had to pay $19.90 so they called and it was at my house in 3 days. I dont think the person heard the model I wanted so I called to see why I got one over the other and they said it was their mistake, same price and I got the right one the next day.
It was so easy and nice to know that I got a 350 pump for around $20.

I called my insurance b/c my DS was premature and I was pumping so I rented one and wanted to see if they'd cover the rental. They wouldnt but told me I could order one through edgepark. I then called edge park and gave them my insurance info. I had a small co-pay and I guess they put it through the insurance and then mailed out the pump to me!
