Question for Team Green Mommies
Are you bringing both a girls outfit and a boys outfit to the hospital? Or did you find a gender neutral one? I'd rather just go with one outfit... but even the gender neutral stuff isnt always so neutral.

Not sure yet. I wanted to get one of each, but DH wanted to get something neutral. As it turns out, I think we're going to end up putting aside a layette for each gender at Denny's, so my mom will then pick the things up for whichever gender it turns out to be, and we'll have the going home outfit included.

When I had my 1st DS I had a neutral outfit but people came to the hospital with boy outfits and I used one of those.

I just packed a gender neutral one all though I agree they are not always so neutral. I feel like if its a girl i'm gonna wish I had something cuter/pink.

I am hoping this happens for us too....when my niece was born I bought 3 uber girly outfits for my sis and I think she wore one of those home. I will bring something neutral though just in case.

im sending my dh out after the baby isborn to pick something out that is either girly or boyish.. we both wanted something special.. so hopefully he can run to carters or kohls which are both very close to my house..

family bought clothes to the hospital as gifts for DD and we just used one of those. I am hoping to do the same thing this time around.

I bought one of each and DH washed the boy outfit and brought it to the hospital on the day we brought DS home. I then returned the girl outfit. Kohls has a fab return policy.

We used gender neutral last time. Since its twins I will try to find something neutral that matches so that will be cute for them to wear home.

Ditto. This time I did buy a gender neutral outfit, but if someone brings something cuter I will put DC in that.

We were  when I was pregnant with DD.... I had bought a boy's and girl's outfit and gave them both to my mom. After DD was born, she washed the girl outfit and brought it to the hospital. I returned the boy outfit.

I plan on waiting see what I get at my shower. If there is a gender neutral outfit that I LOVE, I will use that. If not than I will find a boy & girl outfit and just return whatever I dont need.

We are going to do this. I figured we could leave both outfits at home and DH can wash whichever one we will need and bring it to the hospital with him when he comes to bring us home.
