Thoughts on splenda
So, I accidentally bought canned peaches that are sweetened with splenda! (I know canned = not the greatest thing for me to consume but I am having a MAJOR peach craving lately and the fresh ones taste like air this time of year!)
I usually buy the unsweetened/natural - light syrup. I dont know how I missed it and grabbed the wrong cans.  I am 90% sure my DR said splenda is ok and all other artificial sweeteners were a BIG no no but I have been avoiding it to be safe.
What would you do - to eat or not to eat... that is the question?

Splenda is totally fine.
Only sweet n low isn't (I'd stay away from equal too, but that's just because I'm not sure). But I know splenda is considered totally fine.

My dr said it like this... treat your body the way you would a 2 or 3 year old child... is one splenda going to hurt him? probably not.. but wwould you give him 20 splenda's a day? Probably not a good idea
Overall I think everything in moderation is A ok.

Thanks I had a feeling it was ok- I really should write everything down at each appt lol. I actually started bringing DH to all my dr appts for this reason, because as soon as I see the sono or hear the HB, everything else is kinda la la land for me! But the yay or ney to Splenda was literally my FIRST appt.

My dr says not to use it but I only use it in my one cup of coffee a day. I cut out crystal light and drink mostly water and watered down oj so I think a little splenda is ok. Moderation.

I had splenda every day in my coffee and did eat foods that had it - all was well with DD.
My Dr had said Splenda was fine- just to stay away from Sweet n Low and Equal

I've read/been told that splenda is fine. I did avoid it during the first trimester (i'm a complete splenda junkie and would dip strawberries in it!!!).
Anyway, I have it once in a while now although i've mainly switched to sugar in the raw or regular sugar. I think it's fine though especially since you have mostly been avoiding it. Have the peaches!
