So- ever notice how Splenda is like a controlled substance?
I swear- they lock that stuff up like it's a narcotic or something! 
I notice diners and places like IHOP, chain restaurants etc never have it on the table with the sugar/sweet n low/equal- you always have to ask and they bring you like 3 packets of it!
The DD by work doesn't have it out either and the other day I grabbed a coffee at a local deli/convienience store near my house and I had to ask for it- they had it behind the counter.
Is Splenda THAT much of a hot commodity? Do people steal it?
I don't get it!

it costs more than the others and people these days probably take handfuls of it..so to save money i can see stores controlling how much they make available.

Yup! It's more expensive than the others.
So, in reference to that other thread - this would be an example of being CHEAP and not being FRUGAL.

when I worked in food service, we "hid" the tea bags. You had to ask for them, otherwise they would all disappear!

I'm totally guilty of being cheap and stealing splenda. I also have huge BJ cases of it at home. I have to have splenda with me at all times.

I always grab a handful when I'm at Starbucks. I like to keep a few packets in my purse and in the car for emergencies.

We used to have splenda at work but they JUSTchanged over to equal and sweet and low. I never thought I would be able to tell the difference but I can't take equal and sweet and low.
Off to buy splenda....

Off to buy splenda....
Yeah after getting used to Splenda- the other stuff tastes so overly sweet and artificial
Splenda tastes much more like real sugar!
