not "feeling" pregnant
In January when I had a chemical, during the 2nd week of the 2ww when i was testing early and i knew that it could either be too early to detect or a true bfn, i never got upset when i got the bfns because i just "felt" pregnant. its not something I could explain but I just knew it. Now, during this 2ww (with only 4 days to go), I basically have no symptons and not only that, I just am not feeling like I am PG whatsoever. I know this is stupid and im trying to be positive and think that its a defense mechanism of not getting excited (after the chemical) but.....its just getting me down. Anyone else ever feel like this?

Re: not "feeling" pregnant
When I got my bfp I didn't have any symptoms that made me feel like I was pregnant. I was cranky a few days before but that can happen anytime! I didn't have any implantation spotting or anything. Which btw I had spotting other months during the 2ww and it was bfn! So I wouldn't worry about no symptoms. Stay positive

Re: not "feeling" pregnant
i have been pregnant 3 times and only one out of them i had any "symptoms"
20 other months i swore i was pregnant for at least half of them and nothing
it is not a deal breaker if u feel everything or nothing..that is why some of us old timers say we do not believe in symptoms
u will find as many girls who knew they were pregnant as to how many had no idea or who swore af was coming

Re: not "feeling" pregnant
i dont believe in "feeling pregnant" during the 2ww.. honestly unless you are like 14DPO or pregnant with quads there really isn't enough HCG in your body to feel true symptoms.
in honesty, most symptoms are caused by progesterone, which happens every cycle. progesterone levels vary and produce random side effects no matter if you are pregnant or not and they can be different each cycle. even in a chemical, it really depends how high your HCG went whether your symptoms were really related to pregnancy or just progesterone. i had two chemicals. the first i never tested positive on an HPT, only bloodwork. second one my beta went to the 40s and the only thing i felt was exhaustion for about a hot second until the beta dropped. and exhaustion could have been caused by anything. when i actually was pregnant with my DD i felt no "pregnancy symptoms" until about 7w.
my point is, "feeling pregnant" is meaningless. when you are actually like 15 weeks pregnant you still don't always "feel pregnant." so it's really just looking into things way too much. think positive!!

Re: not "feeling" pregnant
Couldn't agree more! I've been pregnant 5 times and swore each time I wasn't. All the other months of trying and early testing I swore I was. ETA: Meant to quote Gina409.

I had more symptoms with my 2 chemicals than the other 2.

Re: not "feeling" pregnant
i have to say, i agree with the 'old timers'.
what i tried to keep in mind the last few cycles was that the rise in your progesterone level is what mimics pregnancy. that's why we (and we all have been guilty of it at some point in our journey) experience the symptoms, and swear we are pregnant. but honestly, if we weren't "trying" to get pregnant, we'd never notice half of it. it's just that you become so in tune with your body during this process... i feel like it actually has a negative effect, bc it gets your hopes up higher and the disappointment is even worse if you don't get your bfp that month. progesterone rises during ovulation and stays elevated until you get AF... or, if you are pregnant, it never declines. but THAT is why we "feel pregnant" every single cycle, when most of the time, we're not. i've been there. cycle after cycle after cycle, i'd swear i was pregnant and it was such a blow to get bfn after bfn after bfn. especially when you're using monitors and opk's and timing sex correctly - of course when you do everything "by the book" you expect that those symtpoms mean something each month. it took me a long time to learn it, but my suggestion is to try to just accept the symptoms in the 2ww for what they are - a rise in hormones, and hold off until AT LEAST 12dpo to ever test. i think anything else just makes the disappointment even worse. it's all a mind game we play with ourselves. at least that's how it was for me. the month that i actually DIDN'T think i was pregnant, was when i actually got my bfp. and i only tested at 12dpo, bc i truly felt like AF was coming and i was in a pissy mood anyway bc of it - it was valentine's eve so i just wanted to know one way or the other and move on, and THAT was when i got my surprise. try to put it out of your mind - i know, easier said than done. but in the long run, you're better off.
