anyone really pregnant with #2 or more...feeling like its the quiet before the storm?
I nap, a lot.
Josh is pretty self sufficiant.
I feel like I should be doing something to prepare...made a pot of soup tonight to freeze 1/2...
Can't believe my little world is going to be turned upside down in 2 weeks. Unsettling feeling
The anticipation of how big my boobs are going to get again... How dh is going to act this time around how josh is going to act my parents coming not sleeping.
ahhhh...just keep focusing on holding a little cutie in quiet times.

ITA with everything you posted. It's literally the calm before the storm. I am soooo freaked out. Try and just focus on the adorableness that is the baby! LOL

I think if a few times a week, I make something and stick in freezer, maybe I will feel better about what is to come.
#1 was a hard infant. I could break out in a rash right now just thinking about my little bouncing bundle.
I am trying to convince myself that this baby will like the swing. Won't be up every 2 hours until 20 months old won't be a BFing addict.
DH will act right, knowing infancy isn't forever. Hoping him and #1 go and lean on each other and leave me out of their craziness.

you said what I have been feeling perfectly...everything is pretty much done and I dont know what to do with myself so I just rest, clean, play with DS, the past couple weeks have been so nice. I am even sleeping at night which I didnt do when pregnant with DS. I know once arrives, everything will be different and my worrying will begin over how DS will do with the baby, what kind of baby she will be, how will I get everything I need to done with 2 kids, etc. So for now I am just going with the flow and enjoying my last couple of weeks

I don't know how "calm" things ever are with Luca around, but I do know what you mean about the impending craziness that is going to kick in in the next few weeks. I think I worry most about how DS is going to react to everything.

Sorry but no DS is 17 months old and I am running after him all day long. The only break I get is when he naps and I spend that time cleaning and doing laundry. I am looking forward to napping with DD and nursing her and relaxing with her and having DH home to do everything.

I'm not as close as you. But I was thinking the same thing last night. How pretty structured and easy my days are with DD compared to what they will be with her and a newborn.

vacation time starting in the hospital, is it?
DH only gets 2 weeks off a year, taking one week off while I am in hospital. Poor guy has been looking so forward to vacation time...until I left him home alone with Josh yesterday while I went to a shower. They had 3 fights.
He said he needs new dvds to show him if he is going to survive the 4 days.

Yes!
I can't help but wonder how our little world is going to change and the problem is that I still remember that newborn stage so I get anxious.
I hope that I have learned from the first time and that I will be calmer with some experience behind me. But...I didn't have a toddler running around the first time. And...that toddler has always had my undivided attention and that will end. It can't be smooth but I hope it can be okay...you know?
Guess we have to just hold on and see where the ride takes us.

That's exactly how I've been feeling, too.
I am NOT the SAHM type, and having a 2nd DC kinda seals my fate as far as staying home is concerned, because it literally doesn't make sense for me to work and have 2 kids in daycare.
It's funny, because this pregnancy has me SO worn down as far as how tired I am all the time, and I know that things will get worse, because at least I CAN sleep now...

I am right there with you- almost 27 weeks pregnant and really starting to think about how life will change...
I really hope DS (who will be 28 months) still feels loved and gets the attention he needs. I really enjoy our time together and I know things will be so different.
DS was also kind of cranky as an infant, but a lot of it had to do with his reflux.
I do a good job.

ME! I'm trying to enjoy every moment of having just one! Ava is so incredibly self-sufficient it's not even funny. Thank god for her! I'm definitely in for a shock when this one comes because for at leas the last year and a half, this kid takes herself to the bathroom, cleans up her dinner plates, dresses herself, showers herself, etc. Not that I'm neglecting her, but she's so independent. It'll be weird to have to care completely for another one again!

Re: anyone really pregnant with #2 or more...feeling like its the quiet before the storm?
Quiet before the storm? I think actually having the baby home is going to be the quiet...I am in the midst of the storm before the quiet.....
My house is in a state of construction, I have little to no baby stuff ready, this baby doesn't have a name 100% and in general, my head is swimming.
However, I have 9 days and six hours to finish the bathroom construction, buy the remainder of the baby stuff that I need, finalize a name, find a middle name, have major abdominal surgery, have my hair cut and colored, have my eyebrows done, prepare two bedrooms for my in laws to stay in etc...surely I can get all that done in 9 days!
Have I mentioned that I have no bathroom? That I am currently bathing my son in a bucket in the living room?
No?
