Commuter Rant...
Why am I standing so much on the subway?? I don't understand how other WOMEN can push past me to get the seat I was obviously going to sit in... How do people sit and stare at my giant 8 month old pregnant belly and not even feel slightly embarrassed to not give up their seat??? UGH!

I feel your pain. I take the LIRR, I remember being 9 months pregnant and having to stand for the 50 minute ride home. It was so bad some woman gets on the train, says in a booming voice and says "Damn if nobody gave you a seat I am not getting one. " Then she kind of tsked commented under her breath about the lack of manners. It's brutal.

On the subway you have to tell people in the reserved seating to get up.
I tried to tough it out and stand but finally I would just say can you please get up. And people did.

Ugh people are so rude. I stopped taking the LIRR a month ago and just started driving in instead. People were so rude, they would push in front of me to get on the train first. Nobody ever offered me a seat. I never realized how bad it was until I was the pregnant one on the train. Sorry you have to deal with this!

Yes its really a dispointing commentary on humanity when you take a train. It makes you realize how rude, inconsiderate and selfish people are. Ive been pushed, people take seats from me and wont get up for me ALL THE TIME...
I started driving in to avoid this as well...

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing. I got stepped on twice this morning by two different women angling to beat me to a seat on the subway. I'm 30 weeks and I get offered a seat maybe 10% of the time.
On the LIRR, I got an eye roll last week from a woman sitting in a two seater because I asked her to move her bags so I could sit next to her...on a rush hour train. I then proceeded to over thank her to make her feel like crap for giving me crap in the first place.

 It is really appalling how rude people are on the train! DH and I always gave up seats for pregnant women and its amazing how people will be hit with a case of zzz's as soon as I step on the train 
I'm 35 weeks...you can't pretend you don't see my belly!!!
I will have to say, more women than men have offered me their seat. like 12 vs. 8. Yes. I've kept count. It's pitiful.
I do thank people very loudly and sincerely when they do give up their seat so other people can realize that pregnant women really would LOVE to sit down and they really need to!

Oh no...this makes me not looking forward to getting bigger and commuting!! ugh!! I HATE it. I can't believe pregnant women don't get more offers for seats.

Ugh, I remember how it was when I was preg with #1 taking the train. People are pigs! They pretend not to see you. They push to get on the train in front of you. It's disgusting. Sorry you ladies have to deal with this.

people on the train are very rude I experience it every day but when people push passed me I open my mouth and say something especially a women there is a lot of rude ones out there and the pretend sleepers are the best you do not have to pretend I am not asking you for your seat. I wish I didn't have to use public transportation.
