my short sale update....
Well we went down with a fight. We thought we were going to be the ones picked. But the realtor put 2the contracts through to the sellers and they picked the other people. The realtor did some shady stuff. She denied us a hone inspection, but we just found out they gave the other buyers one. We were the better offer, but the sellers were set on these other people, which is why I think she knew them and did everything to get the other people in. Im so upset because im in love with this house. Im tired of people telling me it wasn't meant to be. But it was we had a bid in 2because weeks before anyone did, and the realtor didn't present it to the homeowners. I just feel like I got so screwed over. I now pray the bank doesn't accept their offer. That is how bitter I am.thanks for listening.

Sorry you didn't get the house you loved.
I know it may not seem like it, but you'll find something else you love - maybe not in the same way, but it will happen if you keep looking.

Re: my short sale update....
I'm so sorry things didn't turn out the way you hoped they would. I completely understand your need to vent.
Going forward, one thing you may want to consider is working with a buyer's agent, who will be representing your interests and advocating for YOU, the buyer. I am not clear from your posts, but it seems as if you may have made an offer through the listing agent? It would definitely be beneficial to have someone protecting your interests throughout the home buying process.
Another thing I always try to tell my buyer clients and customers is that you can only control your own actions. Unfortunately, you can't control the seller's actions, which can be frustrating. You can put forward a great offer and be a perfect buyer on paper, but the seller may reject your offer anyway, and there's nothing you can do about it (barring any illegal discrimination or something of that nature!). The best thing you can do is be educated and empower yourself to make good decisions in the home buying process, but accept that sometimes there just isn't a meeting of the minds, despite your best efforts. Easier said than done, I know!
And with short sales, there are definitely so many more complexities and uncertainties, especially as a buyer. And that's not for everyone... some people will be comfortable with it and it may work for their situation, but for many, a short sale is not a good fit. If there was, in fact, some unethical behavior by the realtors, that should not have happened, but even if everyone was acting above board, there is no guarantee that things would have worked out. And you probably would have been waiting quite awhile to find out if they would have.
Hang in there, and try to stay positive about your house hunt. I know, from experience (my own and my customers'), that there are often so many bumps in the road on the way to home ownership, but in most cases, people wind up happy with where that road ultimately takes them!

In a couple of years, when you're in the house of your dreams, you can look back and laugh (or cry...) at everything you had to go through to get your house.

I'm so sorry this didn't work out for you. I'm certain that this didn't work out so that you can end up in an even better house. That's the way it works, ya know

Re: my short sale update....
that really stinks! I'm so sorry. I'm not sure if you have a realtor (buyer's agent) but I would def get one that will work for you. Often if you just go through the listing agent they are working for the seller. This way when you put an offer your agent will be pushing for you. (not sure if this is what happened) but just something to consider going forward. I know it helped us. (I know a great realtor if you need one who really worked for US)
so fustrating though...

Re: my short sale update....
Please vent...It happen to us, we were paying them the asking price, then we find out they lower the price for a biding war. If they couldn't hurt us anymore, the house was a short sale and it happen to not be listed on any of the paperwork until they wanted us to up the price. We said no way, not a dollar more.
I was pissed for a month.
We did find our house, still a short sale. This time only the bank approve. Yes, that's right bank's realtor. FM for info. You will find your house and have the last laugh. Stay strong.
