Re: Thoughts on an Offer---"Short-sale hearing all offers"
10k is ENOUGH! over asking to start. they make an "asking" price on purpose. just start there and see what happens...
GOOD LUCK!

Only 10k? It would only be a one shot offer because it is short sale. Ahhh!!!

Re: Thoughts on an Offer---"Short-sale hearing all offers"
I was purchasing a short sale and I was offering them the asking price...we kind of went to contract until one of the sellers (they were getting a divorce) never signed and we eventually pulled out.
Hope it works for you! Short sales can be really annoying and a long process. Once the seller of a short sale accepts the offer it still needs to go to the bank for final approval. The bank can refuse it but then they usually come up with a number that they want. Then, you can offer that amount.

So what do you think I should offer over the asking price?!

Re: Thoughts on an Offer---"Short-sale hearing all offers"
I would offer what you think it's worth...if that means that it's worth the asking price just offer that. The thing that is also annoying is that sometimes they take a few offers and they all go to the bank and then the bank picks the offer they want to accept. That's what I hear at least. Personally, I wouldn't offer much more over the asking price. Worst thing they could reject it but then they will come back with something else and then you can offer that. That was my experience at least. Good luck!
