You know. i couldn't put me finger on it but this is just it
when anything turns into a one trick pony, it looses it's allure.
the idea is to get people to come here and read, b/c you want everyone coming here to give advice or whatever, even if they are not currently planning.
I am going to Aruba in April and Italy and France in May and I just can't find a topic to post here b/c it's not calling me. all I hear in my mind's ear is the sad trombone.

Is there a way to get a disney only board? The disney threads on here are crazy. 7 alone on the first page. It makes looking for something a pain in the as$. Or even put all of the disney 5857565748 questions pinned.

Eh, as annoying as it is, it's just a popular topic on a fairly unpopular board. Just like there's always a ton of photographer questions on the pregnancy and/or parenting boards but it's not as annoying b/c there's plenty of other threads too.

I agree.
I am generally against any new boards as I feel there are too many.
This board moves too slowly to justify a subdivision.
It would be nice if more of the Disney posters would do a search before they posted their question. I realize the search feature is not perfect and people want new information, but in the past few weeks especially, I have seen so many similar questions posted again and again.
We went in November and I made great use of the search feature to figure out several burning questions.

I have no opinion on this, I'm just laughing to myself that the suggestion of having a Disney board started some drama.

If Disney is all over this forum it is because its the vacation of choice for the majority of posters on here.
If this was flooded with posts all about Europe would we be asking for a sub board for all those posts?

the way i look at it is, it would make it much easier for people going to disney to look for information on. I am looking out for their benfit more than mine
Between here and the Parenting board i think i have seen at least one post a day about disney lately wouldnt it just be easier if everyone went to one board for disney so maybe they can find/get the answer they need?
Also if the search feature didnt suck so bad people might acutally be able to use it.

I love Disney but I think all the threads are overkill. A seperate board would be a good idea.

I can actually see both sides of the argument.... but I have to say personally I feel enough is enough with the Disney posts already!
It makes me lose any and all interest in ever planning a trip there seeing how much goes into it.

But if you ask those questions the board will be more of what you want it to be. Refraining from asking other questions is what makes it a board that is (at times, not always) a Disney dominated board.
If you want it to be about broader travel, make it that way. Make and respond to the non-Disney posts. it will be more fun and informative for all!

I will also get up at 6am to make dining reservations and get discounts.
