Cost to Drive to Disney from LI?

Anyone taken down the actual cost?

I have looked on here, and two other boards and I get a HUGE range of numbers from $300-$700. Thats a big difference. LOL

I'm not too great at Math to begin with!

I assume we will stay overnight each way at about $75 a hotel..Gonna pack a lot of food, so maybe two-3 meals on the road at $100-$125...

GAs and tolls leaves me boggled. LOL

Ok, so I just thought to myself that $30 gas gives me about 10 miles...so About $200 each way in gas makes sense I think?

This will give you a rough estimate (you can put your car in - I would say it might under estimate it a bit but would give you a closer guess).

I don't know what the cost from LI is, but from the Raleigh, NC area (which is halfway) it costs us 1.5 tanks each way and we drive a Toyota Sienna. Not including driving around in Florida. So about $200-$210 r/t to Raleigh/Orlando.

We have done the drive a few times with the Suburban and I believe gas was about 400 bucks or so roundtrip maybe a little more....
We dont stay over nite so I cant tell you about a hotel room but I am sure you can find a cheap one off I-95 just watch where you stay.....
As far as food we usually leave at night at stop for breakfast in the morning and have drinks and snacks in the car....


ETA: I think the tolls are about 16-20 bucks... I never pay attention bc of the EZ Pass

About 400 round trip. We also brought food in the car. We didnt stay in any hotels. It was much easier to continue the drive while she was sleeping.

depends on how many miles per gallon you get in your car.


~3000 miles

25 mpg = 120 gallons

120 * $3.50/gal = $420
