Re: cd3 bloodwork
Before every cycle, whether IUI or IVF, I always had to get blood taken on day 3. Before we started anything and I just began with my RE, I had blood taken on day 3 and then on day 21 to see if I ovulated.

Re: cd3 bloodwork
Normally they are looking at Estrogen, Progesterone, FSH and LH each cycle. Helps them determine meds and stuff. Did they tell you about CD 3 sonos yet? Those are every cycle too. You'll get the hang of it, we all do.

Re: cd3 bloodwork
Yes they do both bloodwork and sono's around CD 3 depending on when it falls on. I am going to specifically ask to see a doctor before I start a new cycle since I need a plan.
Good luck!!!

Re: cd3 bloodwork
To check your hormone level; not sure if you are doing IUI or IVF but if you will be starting meds they want to make sure your hormones are within a range to begin the meds. Good Luck

I'm not doing iui or ivf but do medicated cycles. I go in on cd3 and then back again around cd10.

Like pp's said CD3 is pretty routine, and helps give an idea of what meds, if any are needed, and what dose, length, etc.
That stinks that no one has gotten back to you.
Have you spoken to your RE about this? He/she should have at least gone over your inital blood work, u/s and discussed a game plan.

I would actually have the hsg done before you move to IUI's because if there is an issue you want to know beforehand...also has your DH had a SA...thats also important to rule out other things.

Re: cd3 bloodwork
I'm confused, I did my first IUI earlier this month (BFN) but they never made me get an HSG done, should I ask the next time I go in? My CD 3 appt is tomorrow and thank goodness the doc will be in on that day.

Funny, the same thing happpend to me. I had to ask for it. I guess he already knew he was dealing with PCOS, so they didnt do an HSG (or a SA) until I asked for it. Both were normal, thankfully.

sounds good! what is the clomid for?
she said to help with more follicles to up our chances for the iui.
mama2b
hsg was a must for me before iui doc agreed as well. since we have limited re coverage she thought it was best to make sure my tubes were good before moving to iui
oh and dh did get his sa taken care of

You def should ask to have an HSG done as well as if dh hasnt had a SA that should be done to...it might rule out any issues you may have.
