The bloodwork will show what your hormone levels are at the beginning of your cycle. It will give the doctor a baseline for the rest of your cycle. (so they can see how your levels change as your cycle progresses)
They will test, estrogen, progesterone, LH, FSH.
ETA: a CD3 sono will check your lining and ovaries.
