Talk to me about the Enometrial Biopsy

I'm getting one on Friday if blood work tomorrow shows I didn't ovulate this cycle.

How much did it hurt?

What are they looking for?

the biopsy is a way to "date"back" your lining.

ie- if you are supposed to be 2 dpo and it shows you to be 5 dpo, it means you are shedding it too early and may have a luteal phase defect.


does it hurt? not really. its a little scrape and a quick pinch/cramp. if you take 2 motrins an hour before, its not to bad.
certainly you can go to work after.
i never had complications after mine- i actually had it the day i was leaving for my italy trip.

It's a quick procedure but you can expect a little pain. Once it's over, you will be fine.

I had this done very recently. Take motrin beforehand. Not going to lie, mine was painful but its very quick. My dr prescribed a valium also to help relax me. Good luck!!
