Has anyone had very low betas?
Has anyone had very low betas initially? If so, did you wind up with a chemical? Successful PG?

Re: Has anyone had very low betas?
My first beta w/ my first IVF cycle @ LI-IVF was a 9. It continued to double but they never saw anything on the sonogram and it barely doubled so they were worried it was etopic... they made me take methotrexate to terminate the pregnancy. Looking back I wish I had stood my ground and fought for longer, but my guess is my body was attacking them back then, but we didn't know it.
for you. I have heard of low betas turning into successful pregnancies!

Re: Has anyone had very low betas?
Well, I don't want to even say this. But, yes, my last cycle was a beta of 8. Actually when she told me I had to laugh at how I cannot get out of the starting gate. Felt like such a joke. I did then move on to Dr. Google and I searched for anyone that had a low beta. I noticed that many had doubling and then it ended after a few weeks. And then every once in a while I found that miracle one that kept going and produced a baby. So, anything is possible. Unfortunately mine was less than 5 on the next visit.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a blighted ovum? So sorry for your loss

Re: Has anyone had very low betas?
My last preg had beta of 8. Things went well unti my nine week appt and the heartbeat stopped. Turned out to be a chromosomal issue. From readin and experience lowwww betas usually are chem preg or end in first tri miscarriages. I have seen a few that go on and I hope u are one of them!!! Oxo

Re: Has anyone had very low betas?
Unfortunately, I have had low intial betas two times and both ended. My first started at 19 and continued to duble until it reached 700. they called that an early miscarriage. Next, started at 24, doubled very slowly. I stopped meds when it was 86 and they called it a chemical pregnancy. Like you, I searched google for success stories and there are alot out there. Hoping you can be another success story.

Re: Has anyone had very low betas?
what was your beta?
My failed FET I got a +HPT and then my beta was a 3.5. It was down to zero 2 days later. So a very very early chemical.

Re: Has anyone had very low betas?
My beta started at 26, which is higher than yours but still low. It jumped to 36 over 2 days, then 58, then 75 or so, then 150. I started to bleed after that. It took a couple weeks to get back to zero I hope you have a "miracle" story for us all soon, but I have found over time it is best to expect the worse, while you pray for the best.
Regardless of how this turns out, my RE (who is also Dr. Brenner), told me that a positive beta is always a good sign for the future- because it shows that your body started something. The cycle after my chemical, I got a true BFP and I am 11 weeks pregnant. Good luck

Re: Has anyone had very low betas?
i had two, one beta was 5 then 0, the second was 42 then only 46 and 31 until it went to 0.
both were chemical.
my BFP with DD beta was 197 (but both implanted although only one ended up being a baby).
a chemical is usually defined by a mc that happens before a heartbeat can be seen.

blighted ovum is a sac without embryo, empty sac
