CBEFM
A few basic questions about the CBEFM from a girl who's been around the fertility block and is now going to start trying naturally again:
(1) WHEN do you pee on the stick? I read on the website that there's a 6 hour window but that you have to use FMU. But I know the LH surge usually doesn't appear in FMU Do you have to hold your FMU until the window starts???
(2) About how many days per cycle do you test? Is it the first half? Sporadically throughout?
(3) Does your first set of test sticks come with the monitor, or do you buy those separately?
(4) Does it confirm ovulation? I know it predicts it by looking at estrogen and LH, but does it verify that you actually ovulated too? By a drop in estrogen?
(5) Where did you buy yours?
TIA!!

Re: CBEFM
I hope I can answer some of your questions...
1) You POAS with FMU...the 6 hr window is what you set when you first start the monitoring cycle....an example I set mine for 8AM so that I can POAS anywhere between 5AM and 11AM so for work and weekends I am covered.
2) You test whenever the monitor asks for the sticks...for my 1st month it started on CD 6...I think as the months go by it will adjust which day to test based on your cycles
3) It depends on where you buy the monitor from...some places sell them as a bundle and others your have to buy separate...I would check ebay or amazon for both
4) I dont know what you mean by "confirming" ovulation...the monitor will pickup an increase in both estrogen & LH which are indicators of possible imminent ovulation
5) I bought the monitor from a girl on here and the test sticks from ebay
Good luck!!!

Thanks for taking the time to respond!
I'm just wondering if afterward if goes back to the most likely not fertile stage because the estrogen dropped post-O.
Either way I think I'm going to buy it.
