Prego Brain

I have read that we lose brain cells during pregnancy.

I have forgotten words in the middle of a sentence. Forgotten names, and had a few awkward moments with friends.
ETA: I have also lost my "filter" Im worse now than when I drank. Pretty much say exactly what's on my mind.


How bad do you have it?

The other day I was having this long conversation with my boss when I just stopped in the middle of my sentence and said, "What was the point of this story again?' It was pretty embarrassing.

Funny you mention the filter thing bc I feel the same way!! Went out with a bunch of friends last night and my comments were def interesting and Im not sure why I said the things I did... And yes, I too lose my train of thought... Its terrible! I was bad though before I got preggers

yup!!!! all of the above, REALLY bad, i don't remember ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!

i lock myself out of my car, forget my wallet when i leave, can't ever get out of the house on time cuz im always looking for something...

im usually the BEST at Mad Gab, the word phrase game...and I had a G2G the other night, we played, and I couldn't put together ONE phrase!!

Went to dinner with. Friend and it was a price fix menu. When the bill came I said we owe the same bc its a grand prix. Price fix grand prix. Reallllyyy? And yes noooo filter!

I just remembered another one, I left my keys in the door nob the other day and forgot to lock the door another. FIL hates when people do this

while at a staff meeting last week, I was asking someone on my left where one of my staff members were. Kept asking, when I turned, she was seated already. I really thought what the hell is wrong with me?

The filter thing, totally gone. OMG, I am only 10 weeks, what the heck will I become?

I also left my keys in the front door! My husband says I make him repeat things more often. I did read that our brains do grow back bigger than they were before after pregnancy.

My top 2 moments:
DH calls from train to say order pizza. I said I didn't have any cash on me. He said there's $$ in the drawer. So I pull out a 20 and leave it by the door. DH comes home before the pizza gets here and asks me how much the order is. I said $16. He walks over to near where I put the 20 and puts down 2 bills. The top bill was a single. The doorbell rings and I grab the 20 that I put out plus the 2 bills DH left out. I assumed he thought that the $4 tip I was giving the guy wasn't enough and he wanted me to give him $2 extra so he left me 2 singles. I grab all the money and give it to the guy. Later on that night, DH asks where's the 20 that was on the table. I said that I gave it to the guy with his 2 singles. DH proceeds to tell me that it was NOT 2 singles - rather a 20 and a single. I gave the pizza guy $41 for a $16 order!!!


The other thing was I was bringing my car into the auto body shop to be fixed. I went out to my car the night before to clean out all the garbage I had in the car. The next morning DH and I leave at the same time - him to go to work - me to go to the auto body shop. DH's car is parked next to mine in the driveway on my passenger side. He proceeds to tell me that I apparently left the passenger side doors wide open all night!

I have major issues right now with pregnancy brain.

And they say that it never goes away...it becomes Mommy Brain. So I've got Mommy Brain (with a 6 year old!) and pregnancy brain all at the same time!

The other day we were all going into the house and DH says to me...."Are you going to take the keys out of the ignition?" Yea, I had left them in, and walked away and just left the car running in the driveway.

I'm always doing clueless things!
