Re: Chili
here is my recipe... i do it in the crock pot, but you could do it on the stove too, just brown meat and saute veggies first, then add everything and let it cook a while.
1 pkg ground turkey (or beef if you prefer) 1 large can tomato puree 1 green pepper, chopped 1 red pepper, chopped 1 jalapeno, chopped (optional) 1 onion, chopped few cloves of garlic, minced 1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained 1 can refried bean (helps thicken it) black pepper ground cumin chili powder (alot!)
throw it all in the pot and I cook it on low all day. you will have to break up the meat before serving.

Re: Chili
I have a bunch of good recipes. my absolute favorite chili is cincinatti chili.
•1 quart cold water •2 lbs ground beef •2 cups crushed tomato •2 yellow onions, diced •4 garlic cloves, minced •1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce •1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa •1/4 cup chili powder •1 tsp cayenne •1 tsp ground cumin •2 tbsp cider vinegar •1 whole bay leaf •1/4 tsp ground cloves •1 tsp cinnamon •1 1/2 tsp salt •cooked spaghetti to serve chili over, optional
1.Add beef and water to a 4-quart pot. Bring to a simmer while stirring until the ground beef is in very small pieces. Simmer for 30 minutes and add all the rest of the ingredients.
2.Simmer on low, uncovered, for 3 hours. Add water as needed if the chili becomes to thick.
you can Refrigerate the chili overnight. The next day remove the layer of fat from top before reheating and serving.
Serve over spaghetti with grated colby or cheddar cheese and chopped white onion.
Or serve over a hot dog in a rool with cheese, onion, and a little yellow mustard.
Serve oyster crackers on the side or on top.

Re: Chili
My friend recently gave me this recipe and it is SOOOO good and easy to make! I've made it a bunch of times already and it has become one of my (and DH's) favorite dishes:
Chili
1 tablespoon olive oil 1 small white onion chopped 3 cloves garlic 1 lb lean beef 2 chipotle chilis and a teaspoon of adobo sauce 1 1/2 tbsp tomato paste 1 can pink or kidney beans, rinsed 1 can fire roasted chopped tomatoes (muir glen brand- so delish) 1/2 bottle beer 1 teeny pinch cinnamon 1 tablespoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon spanish paprika Green pepper
heat olive oil in dutch oven over medium-high heat- sautee pepper, onions & garlic for 5 minutes until translucent-season with salt & pepper.
Add tomato paste, chipotle chilies, and spices and cook over medium heat 2-3 minutes until spices darken.
Add beef and cook until no longer pink- about 5 minutes.
Add rest of ingredients (beans, beer, tomatoes) and simmer for 20 minutes.

I can't take credit for this recipe though, I got it from someone else on here
