Can you donate old bras?
I am doing my closet switchover this weekend and have a bunch of bras I don't wear anymore. Can I donate them?

Not sure, but it made me laugh because I tend to wear bras to death until they are falling apart.
I just bought a bunch of new bras and I feel like a new woman!
My old bras were EMBARRASINGLY bad.
Like to the point of falling apart, stained, ripping, all stretched out in the bands and straps...
The only place I could donate my old bras was the trash bin!

I too bought new bras this weekend and apparently I've been wearing the wrong size forever which is why I have a bunch to get rid of!!

I also think some people have posted on here before that these are needed items for women's shelters.
Perhaps if you google, you can come up with some helping organizations on LI that would accept them.
I have so many wrong size and style bras myself that just sit in a drawer or bag in my closet.
I also have more sports bras than I know how to count that don't fit me correctly.

I just trash mine because I wear them until there's nothing left of them.
I don't know, personally I think it's kinda nasty to wear somebody's old bra.  I guess it does depend how worn out it is though.

Some of them are worn a handful of times, I wouldnt donate gross old ones ...

See I am like you- mine are so bad by the time I get rid of them that you coudlnt even use them for a rag.
But I don't think its gross to wear someones used bra- I mean it's not like panties where it's touching parts of your body that have all kinds of discharge and stuff 
It's just touching skin.
To me it would be like donating a shirt.

as long as they're in good condition, I don't see why not. New bras are expensive, so you might as well let someone get use out of them if you're not going to wear them anymore.

My size has changed so I donated a bunch, some barely worn when I donated clothing.
I read they are one of the most in demand items in women's shelters and $$$ so I glad to help someone out! I don't think it's gross if they are in OK shape.
