What is the name of those powdered white ball cookies?
I think the recipe also calls for chopped nuts?
I love them! I need to find a recipe, but need a name.

I have 3 of the same recipe for these, with 3 different names: Russian tea cakes, Snowballs, and Mexican Wedding Cookies.

Re: What is the name of those powdered white ball cookies?
And we call them Mexican wedding cakes Here is the recipe, via my mom. The best I have ever had, melt in your mouth. And easy to make!
SANDIES (or) Mexican Wedding Cakes from my old, old B. H. and Gardens Cookbook 1 cup (softened) butter or margarine 1/3 cup granulaed sugar 2 teas. water 2 teas. vanilla 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1 cup chopped pecans Preheat oven to 325. Cream butter and sugar; add 2 teas. water and vanilla; mix well. Blend in flour and nuts; chill 4 hours (or overnight). Shape in balls or fingers. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet about 20 minutes. Remove from pan; cool slightly; roll in confectioners' sugar. Makes about 3 dozen cookies. (My recent BHG cookbook has the same recipe except more liquid and more flour to make the same amount of cookies. ???)
