At the risk of sounding totally lame...
What's "in" right now in terms of shoes, bags, and jackets?
I'm a terrible shopper and I want to look stylish like everyone I see walking around Manhattan.
I'm guessing that frye riding boots are something to get?
Please fill me in on what's hot now and where to get it because I feel like a total wardrobe loser

From your icon photo you look like you will look good in anything you wear.
I would put you in skinny jeans with just below the knee boots and a cute top.
Alternatively you could wear an above the knee length skirt/dress with patterned tights and the same boots.

FRYE BOOTS, I LOVE THEM! They look so hot with skinny jeans like a pp mentioned.
I was at bcbg yesterday and they have a ton of cute clothes. I got the most adorable fur shrug to pair with some skinny jeans and boots. I believe even ankle boots are making appearances now.
