Of course, when DH goes away for 3 days, I get my D & C results
and I'm all alone  I dont even want to call him cuz he's running around crazy with his 5th graders on a camping trip. Should I tell him? He hasnt been taking this as hard as I have.
But anyway, the result was Triploidy, 69xxx. So that means it was a girl, right? I thought it was a boy all along but when the doc told me there was no heartbeat, for some reason I suspected it was a girl. Not that it really matters.
I'm not suprised. Dr. B said he suspected it was chromosomal, and my immune testing came back normal. I think that it has to do with my PCOS- bad eggs affecting the chromosomes but I;ll ask Dr B again when I see him.
I know its not likely to happen again, just bad luck but the fear will always be there. It's just another reminder that MY LIFE SUCKSSSSS!

You're right that it's not likely to happen again and that's supposed to be comforting... but I'm right there with you... A loss of any kind, even if it's rare and not likely to happen again, puts you on HIGH alert! When my son had such severe complications, I had so many people telling me it was rare and that was supposed to make me feel better... but it just made me feel like... well... what OTHER rare thing can happen the next time?!
Ultimately you just have to have faith...........

I am so sorry. I just wanted to let you know I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks and it was because of triploidy. I never asked if it was a boy or girl (didn't want to know). That pregnancy was a result of an iui.
We tried 3 more iuis after and an IVF to get pregnant again. I was so nervous when I got pregnant after my IVF that I would have another miscarriage, but I am 33w pregnant with  .

I think that unfortunately, everyone who has experienced a loss lives with that fear during subsequent pregnancies, no matter how rare the reason for the m/c. It's not fair that it takes us so much to get pregnant, and then once we are, our pregnancies are so marred with worry. I am so thankful that we all have each other for support and positive vibes when it's hard to be positive for ourselves.
