What's the deal with Reflux medicines?
Tums jsut really aren't cutting it for me, the reflux is getting so outta control...
Are medicines like Pepcid or Prilosec a big NO-NO during pregnancy??
is there anything else stronger that is OK to take??
I need some relief, I haven't had dinner twice this week because of so much pain I don't even wanna eat! 
im kinda getting sick of it

My doc told me if it gets bad, pepcid is ok, even in the 1st trimester. I normally just take tums but I have taken pepcid a handful of times and everything has been fine. I have reflux too so I know how painful it can be. Feel better!

ahh amazing!! and ive never had reflux so i dont even know...are these meds OTC??? or do I need a prescription??

zantac is OTC. though I bought it at walgreens and needed someone to unlock the cabinet for me to get it.
you can also take nexium, but you need a prescription for that.

OK so read about zantac and pepcid...zantac increases risk for pneumonia and I'm already prone to pneumonia :( so I'm not going to take that, can't take the chance...
but pepcid doesn't have that affect, so I will use that...
only thing, says that it passes through to breast milk...but does that mean I wouldn't have to worry about it til baby's born??? I don't have milk for it to get into yet right??
