Can I buy Simple or Bar Syrup anywhere?
I never see it in the stores.
I have seen it in bottles at the bars- for making drinks like martinis, margaritas, etc- but it's always a wholesale type brand.
I checked the aisle at the supermarket where they sell the bar mixers - but nothing.
Anyone ever see it in a store?

Starbucks sell's their Classic Syrup which is the same thing as Simple Syrup ($10.95 for a big bottle).
It's really easy to make
Ingredients:
•2 parts sugar
•1 part water
Preparation:
1.Bring the water to a boil.
2.Dissolve the sugar into the boiling water, stirring constantly.
3.Once the sugar is dissolved completely, remove the pan from the heat. (Note: Do not allow the syrup to boil for too long or the syrup will be too thick.)
4.Allow to cool completely and thicken, then bottle.

I think making it yourself is the ONLY way to go. You can even infuse it with different flavors!

I always make my own too. I don't even measure - I just dump sugar and water in a pot and dissolve it. If I add too much sugar, it's just sweeter so I use a little less.
This just isn't something I would pay for.
