What do you think about the whole breastfeeding thing.....

Will you try to breastfeed your LO?
Will you do it in public? Or only in the privacy of your own home..then pump & bottle it up for when you are out?

I definitely want to try & breastfeed. If it works, great..if not, then formula it is!

I am on the fence about wanting to breastfeed in public. DH & I have had this conversation after DH was in the airport going away for business and texted me about some woman breastfeeding right there in front of him. I guess it made him uncomfortable and he doesnt agree with it. I simply told him, its a woman's right/choice to do so. But I really dont know where that leaves me...Guess I'll find out once I'm in that position.

I REALLY, REALLY want to breast feed. I pray its something I am able to do. As far as in public goes......idk. I believe it's up to the woman whether to do it in public or not. I have to see how I feel when the time comes. I might not feel comfortable w/it.

Breastfeeding is definitely something I want to try. If it works for me and the baby, then I'll continue with it until they don't want to anymore. As for the public, it is a woman's choice, but not the choice for me. I want to pump and bottle feed our LO as well as BF so DH is able to feed them, and if I'm out in public I can just whip out a bottle when needed.

I've seen women BFing in public, and it's something I just ignore and continue with my day. To each is own.

I want to try and breastfeed but I don't know about doing it in public. I might feel weird. But I may feel different when I am actually put in the situation.

I don't think I will be trying to breastfeed. I have no problem with it and I think it is a woman's choice, but its just not for me.
A friend of mine recently tried breastfeeding and the baby wasn't gaining any weight b/c he wasn't getting enough milk. She is now feeding him formula. I think I prefer to know exactly how much my baby is eating and not have to worry about pumping or doing a feeding in public. I will be going back to work after eventually having a baby and I think it would be easier for whoever is babysitting to just make a bottle than worry about my breast milk.

I'll most likely try to breastfeed, but only in private places (i.e. home, family's homes, etc.). For public, I would pump and bottle.

I am definitely going to try... i will only feed in public if i am out longer than normal and dont have formula or run out of what i pumped...

Will you do it in public? If I was to breast feed I would excuse myself from a gorup do do so or bottle it up for outings.

I am 98% sure I will not do it. If I was to i would be only private enough as to no make people uncomfortable while doing it

I tried BF'ing my DD but I didn't have enough milk so it became impossible to EBF but when I did I usually was in the nursery with her alone. I wouldn't have had a problem doing it in public as long as I was covered up and nobody could see my boob!

I def. plan on trying! My sister BF her baby for about 8 months; i would love to be able to do the same!

Yes, I def want to BF so I really hope it works out. I am really not sure about BF in public. I would prob try to plan ahead and bring a bottle of pumped milk.

I am not against breastfeeding and think it's great, but it is just not something I am interested in. DH really wants me to, but I don't know - it just doesn't appeal to me. If I was to do it, I would just do it in private, def not in public.

i will try to breastfeed. i might feel a little uncomfortable at first doing it in public but i think i'll get over it the more i do it.

I know that I will not be trying BF. To each his own, it's just not for me. It bothers me when people that are in favor of BF try to push it on those that don't or don't want to.

I may try it, but I am not sure. I was just talking to my co-worker about it today and she BF for 10 weeks and said it was such a huge commitment that she had to switch to formula due to her schedule plus now her FH can help out more. My mom did not BF and I turned out fine so I do not feel that compelled to do it.
