rolled or stuffed chicken?

i have no idea how to do this but I have thin sliced chicken breasts and some leftover brocolli in my fridge. Can I just roll the raw chicken around the brocolli (and will it just stick together or do I use toothpicks to keep it closed)?

Then do I put it in a pan on the stove or bake in the oven? Anyone have a good recipe? Maybe I can mix some cheese in with the brocolli? I also have a piece of fresh sausage I need to get rid of! Any ideas? TIA!Chat Icon

Re: rolled or stuffed chicken?

I would chop the broccoli pretty small and mix it with some ricotta and shredded mozerella cheese. Then you could easily spread it on the flat chicken cutlet and roll it.

If you want, you can dip it in some egg and then breadcrumbs to bread it, throw it in a baking dish and bake it for about 25 minutes.

Theres a similar recipe on SkinnyTaste.com

I would add some sort of cheese to make almost a spread, spread it on the chicken then roll. I use pieces of spaghetti to hold the roll together, it disappears when you bake it ,so much better then tooth pick hunting. I sometimes brown it olive oil then bake it.
