Im somewhat worried!!!! UPDATED
Im only 14 weeks and I had swelling in my feet the last few days. It does seem to be better in the morning but it gets worse as the day goes on.
So last night, since i was extra worried, I went to target and tested my pressure with their machine and the first time i did it, it was 144/82 (kinda high) So i went to another target with DH and it was 144/73, so of course, i tested it two more times to see what it would say and it came up 125/64 and 119/62.
Well, to make a long story short, I made an appointment tonight at the doctor. I hope everything is okay.
Does it seem to be too soon for having all these problems? I hope its just the heat and work aggravating me.
UPDATE I went to the doctor and so far im doing alright. My BP was a little high 138/80 but thankfully there was no protein in my urine!!!! And since my last appointment (2 weeks ago) I only gained a 1/2 a pound. My swelling has gone down and the doctor told me the swelling isnt that bad. He also told me (like another girl on here) to go in the pool and that will help with the swelling.

Re: Im somewhat worried!!!!
It may just be the heat. I heard drinking tons of water helps. I haven't had any problems with swelling and I wonder if it's because I drink so, so much water.

Re: Im somewhat worried!!!!
I had a lot of swelling around that time, as well.
I think it is just the heat. Don't forget, your body is working extra hard for your baby so we feel the heat more than others do.
I'm glad, though, that you called your doctor. You definatley did the right thing. Good luck and I hope everything is OK.

my pressure is higher pregnant than when I'm not pregnant- i would drink LOTS Of water- if you are dehydrated you could aslo be holding water.

Re: Im somewhat worried!!!!
Hmm, the swelling at 14 weeks is actually common- especially in this heat.
I TOTALLY recommend going for a swim- I go in like a stuffed sausage and come out a refreshed non-swollen, happy preggo! My friends also swear by this!!

Re: Im somewhat worried!!!!
I was about the same as you when i got swelling in my feet and ankles. My pressure wasn't high - it turned out it was the california roll/soy sauce I had gobbled down a few days earlier. My doctor said to really watch the salt intake and drink plenty of water. don't worry

Re: Im somewhat worried!!!!
I think the first 2 times you took it you were probably nervous that is why it ended up coming back to normal. As long as your subsequent BP was normal I think you are OK. As someone who tends to get high BP - 140s/80s isn't really that high and at 14 weeks its too early to diagnose Pre-e.
I hope you feel better and I am sure everything will be OK

Re: Im somewhat worried!!!!
Jen I had my monthly dr. appointment yesterday and my BP is always normal - but I was elevated yesterday and my urine was dark (and yes I've been drinking water). The doctor totally thinks it's the heat and told me to double my water intake for the next few days.
I would still go just to make yourself feel better - but really try to drink TONS of water!!!!
Feel better!!

I just saw this post and if you read my post we seem to be totally opposite...my BP is skyrocketing and my bodies perfectly fine. I dont know what the deal with BP during pregnancy is.

IMO - Those machines are nowhere near accurate - so I would get it re-taken by your doctor. Stay calm and good luck!
