Bethpage Federal or PNC
We are trying to choose between the two and would love your feedback! Our situation is that we are putting 10% down on the house, so since we are under 20% we are subject to PMI. Bethpage offers a first and second of 80/5 and PNC offers a first and second of 80/10. Obviously PNC would be the only way to avoid PMI altogether - plus what's good is that their second is actually a HELOC so once paid down, we can leave it open for future use (at a fixed rate). Our only hesitation is that we've heard so much good about Bethpage (their rates, fees, cust service, etc) and haven't heard a peep about PNC. Does anyone have any experiences or thoughts to share? TIA!

Get the rates and all the closing costs laid out and then decide. This is the only way to compare 2 lenders.
Good luck!

We are with BFCU and have no complaints. We did an 80/10/10 with them as well, but this was back in 2007.

Per our loan officer there is no 80/10/10 option....I wish there was since I'm leaning toward BPFCU.
