I had my baby shower yesterday (9/11)
My sister did a fantastic job and everyone was so incredibly generous. I cannot fathom how much stuff we got. Basically all of the items from our registries were purchased as well as a room full of clothes and other gifts. I was so overwhelmed and have the best family and friends anyone could ask for. Our  is going to have enough clothes to wear a different outfit every day for the first year!
The shower was held at Cool Water Grill in Bay Shore. I have no idea how much it was per head but we had a fantastic brunch with beverages and champagne punch. The wait staff were so helpful and even helped my DH carry the gifts out to the cars.
I gave favors of full-sized soy candles which were made by a lady my DH works with. We also gave everyone bag of French macaroons made by a guy my sister works with. Everyone loved the favors so much. The centerpieces were teapots that I had bought at yard sales and thrift shops that my friend had filled with roses, hydrangea and chrysanthemums. The cake was from Tilda's Bakery in Rocky Point and was delicious as well as really pretty.
Here are some pics. The pictures of the nursery at the end shows just the things that we didn't register for! The big gift bag is full of duplicates and other clothes that I will need to return. Our baby also received her first pair of Uggs (I think these are my favorite of all the gifts ) Image Attachment(s):
