Newbie - going off BCP, now what?

Hi ladies! I've been reading this board on and off for the last few months and now it's my turn to start TTC. I've been on BCP since I was 16 yrs old b/c my periods were irregular. I'm currently in my last week of my last pack of pills and I'm wondering should I wait until I get my first period after coming off the pill or should we just start trying right away? I'm so confused about temping and charting and tracking. Do I need to worry about that right away? Or is that something you do after you've been unsuccessful for a certain period of time?

I'm so nervous and excited at the same time!

I say just have fun and every other day to cover all bases! you can start right away, no need to wait.

if time passes and your cycles are very irregular then you can try temping or OPKs. good luck

Congrats on TTC! They say you should wait 3mths to let you body adjust from coming off BCP but there is no harm in trying sooner. A lot women get pregnant right away with healthy babies. I would def. start prenatals, if you havent already. Since you are just starting I would just advise to every other day around your fertile time as the PP said. If you want to go in it a little more prepared I would go buy some OPKs...if you want to just take the "lets see what happens approach" just a lot

My doctor said start rightvaway becausenud be super fertile!! It worked for I was on bcp for 11 years and I got preggo 1st month, I temped and took ovulation sticks!! Ask your dr, some say wait some don't
