Postpone TTC bc of wedding?
Wondering if any of you went through this? In my case, I am a BM in my cousin's wedding beginning of July and I feel like I should hold off for the next 2-3 months so that I dont run into the "what if I cant make it bc Im in labor?" This was our first month TTC and if the result is a BFN, I think its going to be really hard to pass up a couple months KWIM?  I dunno...

We have been trying since last August and we are not pregnant. I was a BM in my friend's wedding this July. I figured if I got pregnant - I got pregnant - needless to say it didn't happen. I did track the 9 months prior to her wedding since I really did not want to be 9 months pregnant at her wedding.
With that said, I would probably skip TTC for the month of October - so I was not 9 months pregnant at the wedding, but that is just me.

 Thats what I keep telling myself... I guess I just feel bad bc I did have this convo with her and told her we were going to start trying in Dec... And that WAS the plan until we went into the "whatever happens, happens" mode this month... And now I think Im addicted to TTC  She is very easy going and I know she wouldnt care either way... I just dont want to chance missing her big day... And I dont want to "steal her thunder" either...

I agree don't postpone! I am a BM in a friends wedding in August. When we first started TTC I figured I would skip the 2 months where the baby would be due in July/August so I wouldn't be busting at the seams. Turns out we got pregnant right away so it didn't even matter!

Personally, I wouldn't hold off TTC for a wedding. Baby trumps wedding in my book and after dealing with IF issues I know first hand that sometimes things don't always go as planned so if a baby is what you want NOW then I wouldn't put it off because who knows how your road to parenthood will be paved. Worry about the wedding later and focus on getting pregnant now. JMHO.

As we all learned from LIW you cant steal the "thunder" from a bride on her wedding day. Keep TTCing!!!!

Don't wait! My sister and my best friend both found out they were pregnant after we got engaged. My sister was 7 months pregnant and my best friend has her baby the week before my wedding. It all works out! I would never had expected them to wait to TTC. One thing you may want to consider. Maybe get a dress (life chiffon) that can easily be altered one way or the other. Satin is usually harder. But to answer your question....dont wait!

I wouldn't wait or postpone anything. You never know when it's going to happen, and what if the month you don't try is the month it's "meant" to happen!? Keep at it!

Personally I wouldn't postpone for anything unless it was a medical reason, especially knowing what i know now. I've been actively trying to conceive for over a year now and I wish I started sooner

Absolutely positively not! You'll know early enough if you need to back out bc of timing near a due date. Outside of that, you should never plan your family and life around someone else's!

Don't wait. We were going to hold off on TTC for our wedding, but when they "cutoff" time came and went and nothing happened, we decided the hel! with it and we continued to TTC. GL!
