Last visit with the RE was today
and I'm so sad to leave them! Even though I got pregnant before they did anything but a consult, they've just been so nice and easy to work with. I'm dreading having to schedule appointments with the regular doctor. It probably doesn't help that I'll be back to work in two weeks so I won't have such an open schedule. Was anyone else sad to leave their RE?

OMG! I am! MY RE is a gyno and ferility specialist. I have been seeing her since 2005 (just started fertility with her this year). She actually performed an emergency surgery that saved my life when an ovarian cyst ruptured and I was bleeding internally for 24 hours. I feel like we're friends! I totally hate to leave her for an OB. She is totally the best! I actually brought her flowers when I got my BFP!

I cried the day of my last RE appointment. I had been going there for almost 2 years. So while I was thrilled to graduate I was sad to leave them because they were always so nice to me.

I was the same way and I too got PG on my own but after I went in for consult. My RE was so responsive with me even though they didn't do anything to get me PG.
you get used to not goign tot he Dr quite as much cause with the RE you see them a lot in the beginning.

same here! they all hugged me goodbye. it was very sweet. i think i'll go back in a few weeks to say hello and show off my belly

I wasn't so unhappy to leave the RE; I was unhappy to have to stop getting weekly ultrasounds! It's so hard to wait weeks, and then months, in between. But it's a sign that baby is doing well.
Congrats to you - this is a big step!

I was so sad to leave my RE also. We are in the same boat. They didnt get a chance to do anything for us. It happened naturally before my first IFV cycle. I was so spoiled getting to see my little girl every week and was so upset to leave. I feel like they were more caring and I felt more comfortable with them. They also knew who I was and knew my situation.
