Q: Since I have an interview today....the question of the day is....
1) What do you do for a living??? and 2) How long will you take off when you have your baby???
A: 1) I am a high school math teacher. I have been teaching for the past 5 years and was just excessed this year 2) Well right now i dont have a job so I wont have to take off any time. But if I did have a job it would depend. A new jjob I would probably only take the 12 weeks, if i went back to my old job I would take longer

I work in development for a non-profit. I have been here 4 years.
Most likely I will not be returning after we have a baby, at least not right away.

Re: ~QOTD~8-23-11
I am a teacher and have been teaching for 7 years.
My school gives 6 weeks for a natural birth and 8 weeks for a cesarean. I probably plan to take a total of 10 weeks depending on what happens. Although if I get pregnant next month, I guess I don't have to worry about that so much since I'd be due in May. I'll just take the rest of the year off and start again next September.

I am a Personal Assistant. I have been doing this for 4 yrs while getting my Masters in EDU.
I plan on only taking about 7 weeks. Then I will be going back until about a month b/f the next school semester starts & I will quit. This will allow me to finally do my student teaching.

1. I am a Clinical Social Worker at a not-for-profit, and I have a part time private practice. 2. I will probably take 6-8 weeks, depending on how long I have in vacation/personal/sick time....we will see :). Probably less for private practice.

Re: ~QOTD~8-23-11
Veterinarian and I have no idea how much time I will take off. Paid time off definitely a big zero, time off probably depends on if I want a job or not when I come back...

Re: ~QOTD~8-23-11
I am planning to take a minimum of 12 weeks. My job can be held for up to 2 years - so we will have to see how things work out when we hopefully get our BFP.

I'm a CPA, I work in Financial Reporting in the Healthcare industry.
I'd love to take off 3 months, but we'll have to see. 10 weeks would be the minimum. My organization doesn't offer any paid maternity, so I would be banking on all my sick / vacation time and then going from there.
