its FRIDAY!!!!!!! finally!!!!! i will try to post of QOTD tomm me and the DH are going to the shore for the weekend booked us a little getaway since today i just got the smiley on the OPK! well be as much as poosible lol

so anyway QUESTION that came up in my mind the other night i was with my preggo friend who is due any min and she was telling me that her FMIL thinks shes going to be the delivery room and she was freaking out bc the mother in law was like really serious about it! and my firsts thought was that is not gonna work for me!!

Q: who do you want in the delivery room with you? even if not having a natural birth who would you want there right after?

DH and only DH!! I initally thought of having my mom there, but she would probably be calling the shots with everything, and they kick her out

It will be a very precious moment for both DH and I, and I want to keep it between the two of us..

When I was induced, my mom and her partner Denise (same sex marriage) were in the delivery room with DH. MIL pulled DH aside and said she didn't think it was right that my mom's partner was in there since she wasn't technically my parent. *I* was the one having the baby and it is a surgical procedure. Not only did my mom and her partner worry about the health of the baby but they were also worried about my health.

I told DH to tell MIL that if my mom was married to a guy then he would be in here too, it still wouldn't be her in the delivery room - regardless!

We were allowed to have 3 people in the delivery room and MIL was never considered to be one of those 3 people!!

I ended up having a c/s because they were concerned about DD's low heart rate so only DH was allowed in the OR anyway!

ETA: When we brought DD back to our room we let my mom and Denise come in first and then my IL's

I want my DH and my mother. BUT, DH seems it is unfair because I dont want my MIL, there. I just feel as this would be my mother's first grandchild and she has been so supportive of everything that it would only be fair. Plue, my MIL already has 7 grandbabies. We shall see.

I think I'm the odd one out here! I would actually NOT want my mother in there because she would drive me crazy. I actually would want my MIL (we have a very close relationship and she's also a nurse) one of my best friends (she's a PA) and DH.

In the delivery room will only be DH and I. My mom can come in and visit from time to time while I'm contracting but she can't stay..she would drive me crazy!

As pp said, it is a special moment for DH and I. We created this little person, we need to step up and be parents. It is nice to have the support of my mom but there are somethings DH and I need to do on our own..no matter how nervous or scared we may be!

It really would depend on how many people they let in the room :). I am not oppossed to having my mom and sister....but def not my MIL!!

throughout labor, I'll have everyone come in and out.

While I am in labor anyone from my family can come in and see me. When I am ready to push, I only want DH. I want it to be a special moment just between the two of us.

just dh..i have 3 sisters and could not pick which one would come and my mom i unable to be there do to illness so it will be just me dh

I just want it to be me and my DH. I have no urge to have my parents or my ILs there. They can come see us when I am done.

Just me and DH.....mil wants to be in there but i dont even want my own mom...im a very private person, its for me and my husband ONLY

ummmmm......def just my DH. I have a feeling my MIL would love the opportunity but I'm def not into it, Shes a great lady but I'd rather it just be the 2 of us.
