I had my son!
Hi Ladies!
Just checking in! Edward Christopher was born three days past his due date on July 24th at 9:00 a.m. 8 lbs., 2 oz. 20 and 3/4 inches. He is AMAZING. Delivery was a little scary but an incredible experience. The cord was around his neck and his heart rate slowed as he descended. He was sunny side up as well, so I ended up with back labor and needed an epidural. My recovery has been good, I had a 2nd degree tear, but I feel better everyday. Breastfeeding and sleepless nights have been rough. But I love this boy to pieces and I can tell you EVERYTHING has been worth it.
If you are delivering at Southside you have absolutely no worries. The nursing staff there is incredible. DH and I can't say enough good things about them.
