Which would you pick?
I have very very pale blue walls...which color do you prefer... white or dark wood with that style sofa/chair? My furniture is almost idential to that couch pictured. Image Attachment(s):

Usually I go for white but I think with the blue walls dark furniture looks best. Where are these from btw?

To me the dark is more eye catching, even though I like white too...I say DARK.

Personally, I think I would go with dark for a living room if the walls are pale and the furniture is pale. But my living room is a formal living room.
I also like white furniture, and the combination of white and light blue.
It really depends on the style of the room. If you are going for more formal and traditional, then I would go with the dark wood. If you are going for a more casual vibe... to me, pale blue with shades of white and cream reads "beachy" or "cottagey" (which I LOVE!) . . . then I would go with the white.
You can't go wrong either way!

My living room sounds similar color-wise - i posted a pic on the "blue living room" thread and there are pics in my album. We went with dark wood - i like the contrast.

YES i saw that and LOVE it. I think i checked out your house remodel pics a while back when we were complaining about the air traffic noise in our area (stewart manor)...which has got a lot better recently right???!!

I was leaning towards dark and think thats the way I will go.

I personally gravitate towards dark furniture and think it will look great with the pale blue walls. I just LOVE that coffee table, where is it from?

i love dark furniture and mostly have it in my home but i HATE how it instantly shows dust! it always looks like i haven't dusted even if i did it yesterday.

I agree the dark one... On a side note I just got this coffee table and love it!!! I have dark brown couches, so like others said the contrast is nice.

My vote is for dark --- Unless you are going for a cottage look, the room would probably look really washed out with the white :)

thanks!! yes it has definitely gotten better overall, but there was one night, i think it was thursday maybe, that we were
