to see a RE or your OBGYN if you are still not getting pregnant?

I went a little after 6 mo but I knew I had some things holding me back from getting preg.

i went sooner than later one bc we mc two bc i k new i had issues since my peiods lasted at least 50 days between

We are both 34. We just had our 1st MC (on our 1st time TTC) back in April. I am going to start TTC again in Aug. If I dont get BFP by Feb (6 months) than we will go.

Well we have been really trying using the OPK's for a month. Without the OPK's and just tracking my fertile days on one of my apps for about 6months.

I have had 3 miscarriages - 2 in one year.

I do have PCOS but have lost a lot of weight over the last 6months and my periods have returned to "normal"

I guess I am trying to gauge when I should seek some help... Im just a tad inpatient

I went after a mc and then 9 months of trying after the mc (the total of TTC time was a year though if you count from when we FIRST started trying). I didn't want to waste anymore time so the sooner i went the better.

I have my next dr appt with my GYN in August and that will be 6 months of trying if we are not preggo by then. I will ask her what she suggests. I am 36 (turning 37) in October and DH just turned 43.

3 mc and PCOS..i would go to the RE now..they specialize more than a ob

We went after 1 year and one loss. We also learned that we were dealing with male IF.. so we had no choice really.
I think instictively you'll know when it's time...

I found out last year I had PCOS and saw a RE- she told me as soon as we want to start trying to come see her. So we went the first month we started.

Although I am in westchester - I am willing to travel... so can you ladies give me some names of RE's? I am almost certain with my insurance i dont need a referral but I can check that on the back end.

But please suggest your RE's! tx

I have PCOS but never had too many things to worry about (according to doctor) like I was regular but I found out on a fluke I had it..that being said..
DH and I will go after one year.

Before my MC I probably would have waited well over a year since I consider myself pretty regular and Im only 28 years old. Im hoping I get pregnant pretty quickly but if another 6mths go by (or I have another miscarriage, hopefully not) then I will go seek help. So, I guess the answer to your question is 1 year

I knew I had PCOS from the start and didn't want to waste any time. I was off the pill for only around 2 months with no AF when I saw Dr.Braverman for the first time.

I considered myself lucky to have known about my issue so I could seek help and get pregnant sooner. Well.......... little did I know, PCOS was the least of my problems!!!!!!!!!!!! We uncovered so many random issues since then keeping me from GETTING and STAYING pregnant

A year and a half after starting ... I'm still trying

This may be a silly question, but how did you guys know that you had PCOS?

Well I didn't know that I had Pcos for a while and it wasn't until I went to an endocrinologist and bloodwork out the wazooo and ultra sounds that I got a confirmed diagnosis of PCOS.

We didn't seek the help of a RE until we were a bit past the 1 year mark. I temped and used OPKs so I had confirmation that I was Oing regularly. The only issue I knew of was a short-ish LP.

It was hard for us to accept needing help.

Turns out I had a blockage in a tube. With Clomid and IUI we were successful in our 1st cycle of treatment with the RE.

I went after about 8 months, I wound up with a chemical during those 8 months. I figured I'd start sooner than later since I always had irregular cycles.
