baby shower ?

Hi preggos! I miss this board. Anyway, ds is 11 weeks and my sis-in law"s shower is the 25th. DH told me last night that he is aasigned to work that day. i'm having a hard time finding a sitter as everybody i know/trust will be there. Would it be completely wrong of me if I asked to bring him? It's a backyard shower. TIA!

Re: baby shower ?

i don't think it is wrong to ask...many people allow babies at baby showers. Just be prepared bc they could possibly say no.

Re: baby shower ?

not wrong at all to ask - you're actually ASKING as opposed to just showing up with a baby. i see nothing wrong with that!

Re: baby shower ?

just explain that you have nobody to watch the baby but would love to be there.

Re: baby shower ?

Just explain the situation to her and let her know you understand if she says no.

Re: baby shower ?

I would find it really odd if a baby wasn't allowed at a baby shower!

it's totally fine to ask! i had a backyard shower as well and a few people brought their kids (only 1 asked) and it was not a problem.

Re: baby shower ?

I know some people don't like toddlers at a shower, but I can't imagine anyone would be upset if an infant came.
