FL Keys?
Looking for someplace to go for a few days with DH. Was thinking somewhere in the Keys. Anyone ever been there before. I am starting my search and don't know where to begin. Looking for something kind of relaxing where we don't have a schedule hang out on the beach go fisihing and enjoy dinner & drinks at night. Any feedback would be great!!!

Re: FL Keys?
I don't know much about they Keys since I was only there was when I was like 14. A friend at work was recently in Key west and stayed at the Marriott resort and LOVED IT! But if you are looking for a place in Florida, also look into Marco Island! I know there is also a Marriott there, went there for lunch since my parents have a house in nearby Naples... its beautiful in Marco Island too!

Re: FL Keys?
Key West is the place for that - relaxing!
We stayed at the Center Court Cottages and loved it.
For fishing, just go into any bait shop and ask for suggestions and we fished on these little walk over bridges right next to the drive over bridges on the way down to Key West.
Food, you can just go up and down Duval St.
Beach - Fort Zachary Taylor Park or Bahia Honda State Park
We love it there!

Re: FL Keys?
We loved Casa marina. From a recommendation on here. Pool, beach, water sports, massage, great restaurant, and ~10 minute walk to Mallory square - which actually makes it a bit more relaxing and a nice walk to digest coming back from dinner.

Re: FL Keys?
DH and I took a trip to the keys in January. We didnt book anything except the flights and a rental car. We got in the car and drove and where ever we ended up, we fould a hotel and stayed. We ended up spending the majority of our trip in Isle Morada. It was nice there. We were going to drive all the way down to key west but decided to hang on the beach instead of taking the hour drive. If you do go, there is a visitor spot in Key Largo with maps and hotels. They have lots of coupons too in those free coupon books. Also, if you make it to Marathon, there was a Mc D's that had some coupon books with better coupons. We got 20% off our room each night. Have fun!
We stayed at Pelican cove and holiday Isle. There was a tiki bar outside (rum runners...good times) MIL likes the Islander and Casa marino. (i think thats what it's called)
