Would you put a china closet in a living room..

If the two rooms (Living Room and Dining Room) shared a wall? We have a L shaped dining room and living room. They are separate rooms but flow and do share a wall. Would china displayed in a living room look stupid?? _Please help!TIA, Denise.

our new house (well not ours yet, will be in about a month) the current owner has this and i think it looks nice! as long as the living room is more formal, i think it goes great!

I think it's just fine if the rooms are sort of connected. I was going to do this if mine did not fit in my new DR. I do have my buffet and my curio in my LR since that didnt fit. Looks great!

Thank you Ladies so much. I think I am going to post pics of the furniture and pics of the room quick. Gina, yes, I did know it was you! :) Well, I was not totally sure, but I was pretty sure.. :) Yes, definitely. Let me know when. I PROMISE Ava is not normally like the way she was that day.. She was so overtired and not herself. Ok, well let me know wehn you are free. We have the pool open, you guys are welcome whenever! :)

this is my new house that we are in contract on - please dont quote, NOT my house yet

its more "counrty" and she has a lot of furniture in these rooms but i think it looks nice in person

the first is a china cab in between the LR and DR and the second is standing right next to the china cab looking into the DR

Gobster, no there will be no tv in the living room. We have a den on the other side of the dining room. I think you can see it in one of the dining room pictures (ugly wallpaper we have yet to tear down). That is where we will have our TV and hang out. The living room where I want to put the china in will really be for show, no one sits in there, formal..

I have my china cabinet in my formal LR. I dont have any china displayed in it, just some crystal and collectables - not that you couldnt display china. I think it will look great I love the pieces you bought.
